Just Buzzin'!
So today, so far, has been great. But, before I get to what made today great, I'll recap the weekend for you.On Friday night we totally bummed out on going to the drive-in in Santee. It was cold... well California cold. It was only about 10C which means the windows fog up something awful so you have to keep a window cracked which means it gets cold in the car so you have to use a blanket. If it comes to that, I'm lights out and I don't see the movies. So, instead, we had Pick up Stix at like 9pm and watch Fire Birds, a 1990 Nicholas Cage movie about the Apache Helicopter. It was pretty cool and totally old school.
On Saturday I went for my first Craniosacral massage. It was pretty cool. I'd put a link here but I don't know how to so just look up Craniosacral on Google and find the site linked to "Up-Ledger" or something like that. It'll give you the details about the massage. Anyway, I was pretty lame after getting the massage and spent the afternoon reading and sleeping until 4:30 when it was time to head to THE MONSTER JAM!!! It was totally wicked. I think there were 12 contenders; one of which was female (the Scarlet Bandit). There were trucks flying everywhere. One even blew his two left-side tires. The noise was unimpressive but the fact that he continued on to one more jump after blowing the tires was impressive. However, before going to Monster Jam we went to Chili's for dinner. On the menu we found the Chocolate Volcano desert. So tempting but we didn't have time so we decided to go back after the show. We managed to order and eat four deserts (between four of us, not just me and Al) in under 20 minutes. We were home by 11:20 so we watched Grey's Anatomy and CSI which we had recorded on Thursday. After that it was lights out for this cat.
Sunday was a warmer day than it had been for the previous week. We did a little shopping (new pants, etc.), went to two Home Depot's to get wood for our new entertainment center and then I headed home for some ironing, dinner prep, and a little movie-watching.
Today, however, is the high. I found out this morning that I've moved from a Skill level of 2, in pool, to a 3. I know it doesn't sound like much but it feels GOOD! So, despite working and not sleeping in, today is a good day.
